Our first ever Cyber Wardens are here, and they’re locking the digital doors to cyber criminals.

With our first Cyber Wardens graduates, we’re one more step on the way to preventing digital break ins in Australia’s small businesses.

At exclusive events in Melbourne and Wagga Wagga, more than 90 small business customers, staff and the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) members gathered with team members from Telstra and CommBank to experience Cyber Wardens learning how to lock their digital doors to cyber criminals.

The easy, simple and jargon-busting program gives small businesses  the skills they need to help protect their hard-earned livelihoods from scammers and hackers, in less than an hour.

Cyber attacks are becoming all too common, and while we hear about the big data breaches on the news, we don’t hear that nearly half of all cyber attacks in Australia are aimed at small businesses.

Small businesses can be vulnerable: whether you’re a time-poor sole trader or a manager running a multi-employee operation, cyber security and training can go into the “too-hard” or “do later”  basket. But leaving yourself open to a bad attack could mean that you lose EVERYTHING, so  the need for down to earth and simple training  has never been more urgent.

At our exclusive events in Melbourne and Wagga Wagga, local businesses tried out the program first-hand, meeting other businesses and giving their feedback on the program.

Now they’ve graduated, they’re ready to stop digital break ins and work to keep cyber criminal’s hands out of the till.

Here’s what they had to say:

Cyber Wardens is an initiative of COSBOA and free for small business owners, thanks to the support of our partners Telstra and CommBank.
